TAMPA, Fla. — Calling all cookie monsters. Today is your day.

Dec. 4 marks National Cookie Day around the world.

A number of chains and stores are marking the day with deals and freebies for you to indulge in your sweet tooth.

Great American Cookies

If you are a member of Great American Cookies' loyalty program, you can get a free "Original Chocolate Chip Cookie" on Dec. 4. No other purchase is necessary. The deal is limited to one cookie per customer.

Nestle Tollhouse Cafe

The Nestle Toll House Cafe is celebrating by offering 12 cookies for $12 deal on Dec. 4.

Mrs. Fields

All Mrs. Fields locations will be giving out a free cookie on Wednesday, Dec. 4. As an added bonus, if you buy a Mrs. Fields Nutcracker Sweet Tower, the company will send a "Peace, Love & Cookies" tin to a friend for free.

Insomnia Cookies

Insomnia Cookies will be giving out one free cookie to customers on Dec. 4. No purchase is necessary. The retailer is also running a sweepstakes that will give five winners free cookies for a year. Just fill out this form to enter. Winners will receive a gift card worth $713.70 (enough to buy a cookie a day for 366 days) and $100 worth of Insomnia Cookies merchandise.

Jack in the Box

You can get a large Oreo shake from Jack in the Box delivered to you for free through Dec. 15. All you need to do is place an order of at least $15 through Grubhub and add a large Oreo shake to your cart. The promo will automatically be applied at checkout.

Whole Foods

Whole Foods is celebrating by offering Prime members a baking deal to help you make your own cookies. Through Dec. 10 you can get 35 percent off King Arthur flours and mixes, Wholesome sweeteners and Guittard baking cups.
