You don’t have to buy expensive, high-end products that break the bank if you want to pamper yourself. For at-home beautifying treatments, just open your refrigerator!

Celebrities have been using these tricks for years. Even Catherine Zeta-Jones washes her hair with beer. Did you know the hops and proteins from the malt makes for shinier, fuller locks? Give it a try – I promise you won’t walk around smelling like a craft brewery.

For dry hair, mash together 1 tbs. olive oil, an egg yolk and half an avocado. Apply the mixture on your hair like a conditioner. Leave it in for at least five minutes, and then suds up twice with a sulfate-free shampoo to ensure all of the olive oil has been rinsed out. Viola, your hair will be moisturized!

If you’re like me and have oily skin, use apple cider vinegar as a facial toner. Apply it all over your face like an astringent with a cotton ball, and let it dry.

For those of you with dry skin, mix ¼ c. of Greek yogurt with 2 tbs. honey and an egg white. The yogurt will hydrate and exfoliate, and the honey will boost hydration because it’s a humectant. The egg white has protein that will tighten and firm your skin. Leave this mask on your face for ten minutes, and you will have baby-soft skin once you wash it off. This mask also is soothing for sunburned skin.

All of us could use a brighter smile, but forget the chemicals and high cost of those dental treatment kits. Simply mix together the juice from half of a fresh-squeezed lemon with 2 tbs. of baking soda, then brush the paste onto your teeth for 30-60 seconds. Your pearly whites will be gleaming!
