If it seems like you can get nearly any kind of alcohol in a can these days, you’re right. From margaritas to wine, nearly everything comes in a can nowadays. And now, that includes a new adult beverage just added to the lineup: White Russians!

The new ready-to-drink canned White Russian from Cutwater Spirits is made using award-winning spirits as the base. This new take on the beloved classic features Cutwater Vodka with house-made coffee cream liqueur.

With notes of vanilla ice cream, freshly brewed coffee, mocha and a hint of waffle cone, the drink is gluten-free and has 14% alcohol by volume. You can find a four-pack in stores nationwide for around $12.99.

If canned White Russians had been around when the Coen brothers filmed the 1998 cult classic “The Big Lebowski,” would Jeff Bridges’ The Dude have been writing a check for these in the opening scene in the grocery store instead of half and half? After all, that milk was destined for The Dude’s signature drink, a White Russian.

The answer to that question is unknowable, but surely The Dude wouldn’t sweat it. He’d abide.

Canned cocktails are convenient, but whipping up your own White Russian is quite easy. While recipes vary on what ingredients you’ll need, this recipe from Liquor.com calls for just three ingredients: vodka, Kahlua and heavy cream.

While it appears Cutwater’s canned beverage may be the first canned White Russian sold nationally, there are already bottled versions: Kahlua makes a four-pack of bottled White Russians with vodka and their coffee liqueur, which has rum, sugar and Arabica coffee, and you can get a 750-ml bottle of pre-made White Russians with vodka from TGI Fridays.

Cutwater Spirits has 19 other canned cocktail varieties, including tequila sodas, plus a Tiki Rum Mai Tai, Elderflower Vodka Spritz, Spicy Bloody Mary, Rum Mint Mojito and even Long Island iced teas.

If you’d rather make your own drinks, but still want to keep it simple and easy, you can buy pre-made cocktail mix in individual packets from CraftStirs, so you can make one drink at a time and only need to add alcohol. That means not only is it pretty hard to mess up, but you also don’t need to buy full bottles of mixers if you just want a drink once in a while.
