FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) -- Two suspects are at large and one has been detained after a police-involved shooting in front of a McDonald's in Broward County.

Fort Lauderdale police tell local news media that officers were attempting to stop a stolen Ford Fusion with three men inside Monday afternoon in a McDonald's drive-thru when two of the men jumped out of the car and fled on foot.

Police say the driver then attempted to speed away, hitting an officer as he did so. The officer ended up on the roof of the car.

Fort Lauderdale Detective Keven Dupree says that at that point, officers fired into the car. It's unknown if the driver was struck.

The hit officer was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Officers arrested one of the passengers who tried to flee. The driver and other passenger are still being sought.
