At least sixteen registered sex offenders in Florida are using a Walmart as their home address.

State law allows homeless sex offenders to use the address of the closest physical address for their registration.

Police in Cocoa say most of the sex offenders live in a homeless camp in a wooded area close to the Walmart.

Some parents are upset about it though and say they don't want the offenders so close to where they shop with children.

"How do they even accept that? How is that even a... you know what I mean? That shouldn't even be allowed," said Heather Poole who lives nearby.

A spokesperson for Walmart said it didn't know that sex offenders were using the store as their home address.

It released a statement saying:  "It's disturbing to learn that convicted felons would list our store as their residential address. We condemn such a practice and must refer any other questions to local law enforcement."
