ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. -- A 48-year-old woman died early Sunday morning in an ATV crash in St. Lucie County.
Florida Highway Patrol says Renee K. Davis of Fort Pierce was driving a 2013 Polaris 800 EFI ATV with two passengers westbound on a sidewalk north of State Road 70.
At 3:16 a.m., Davis was unable to negotiate a curve and lost control of the vehicle. The ATV overturned in the grass median, ejecting the occupants.
Davis was pronounced dead at the scene. Her two passengers received minor injuries and were treated at Lawnwood Medical Center.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
