The St. Lucie County School District is investigating allegations of an inappropriate relationship between an employee and a student.
The District says the employee has been temporarily relieved of their duties pending a recommendation for termination at the next board meeting on May 10.
Kerry Padrick, Chief Communications Officer for St. Lucie Public Schools, said in a statement, "Behavior such as this will not be tolerated and the School District is working in full cooperation with law enforcement. This is being treated with the utmost priority as the safety and security of our students is foremost in our mission."
