DELRAY BEACH, Fla. -- Feeder bands from Hurricane Matthew caused some early damage in Delray Beach Thursday evening.

A massive tree was uprooted in the backyard of a Delray Beach home, before the storm had even arrived in the area.

The homeowner, Jeff Stohsahl, tells NewsChannel 5 he estimates the tree was 120 feet tall, 350 feet wide, and about 50 years old.

Fortunately no one was injured when it fell. Stohsahl says he considers himself lucky that it didn't fall on the house behind him.
