A local animal shelter went out of state to rescue dozens of abused dogs in need of care.
Workers from Tri-County Animal Rescue traveled to recover more than 40 dogs from a Mississippi puppy mill.
The dogs are now in Boca Raton.
The shelter says they'll receive proper care next week before the search begins to find them permanent homes.
