The owners of Baker Sponder Gallery in Boca Raton said two sculptures disappeared this week.

One was worth $40,000, the other $25,000.

Deborah Sponder said her team first noticed a 500-pound sculpture by Peter Reginato missing Tuesday morning.

Friday morning, they noticed a second sculpture by the same artist was gone. It weighed about 300 pounds.

“It is very upsetting. The artist is heartbroken. We’re hoping the public will help us find them,” Sponder said.

The gallery is located at 608 Banyan Trail, next to the Post Office.

Sponder said both of these sculptures were kept outside, behind the gallery. Now, she’s bringing sculptures which aren’t bolted down inside.

If you have any information on the theft, call Boca Raton police at 561-338-1234.
