JUPITER, Fla-- Noise concerns from Jupiter's Habourside Place are still drumming up frustrations for residents.
Tuesday night the town council discussed possible changes to the event schedule hoping to resolve some of these issues.

Jill Mason wants to listen to her own music in the peace and quiet of her back yard. Instead, she says she still hears the loud music coming from Habourside's amphitheater across the water.

"To hear drums and symbols and base, it's just across the water. It's deafening," said Mason."

It has been an ongoing issue for many residents who say the live music coming from the amphitheater is too loud and too frequent.

Because of the ongoing noise complaints, the Jupiter Town Council is looking to modify the Habourside's event schedule.

The possible changes would not only reduce the number of live concerts with drums and bass to only twice a week, but to also regulate when the concerts can happen, like not on Sundays.

But some say the draw of Habourside is the live music and constant activity.

"We think it's a good thing. It attracted us," said Sue McMurdy.

While these changes are still being discussed, residents like Mason hope that both sides can work together.

There were representatives from Harbourside at Tuesday night's meeting who expressed interest in coming to an agreement with the town.

The Town Council is looking to put the changes on a January agenda.
