JENSEN BEACH, Fla. -- Martin County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a naked man who they say appeared to be suffering from the effects of excited delirium.

MCSO received a call at around 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from an employee at Ocean Beach Liquors in Jensen Beach.

The caller said the man, identified as 29-year-old John Cameron of Jensen Beach, was going into a violent rage inside the store.

Deputies say when the store employee asked the man to leave, he began cursing and became more agitated and violent, destroying property inside the store.

Cameron then stripped naked and left the store, giving the employee the chance to lock the doors.

Soon after, Cameron returned, but was unable to get into the store, so he took off yelling.

The responding deputy located Cameron at the Jensen Beach Publix, where he was laying on the ground naked and screaming.

Cameron began to verbally challenge the deputy.

More deputies arrived on the scene and were able to talk him down from his rage and safely take him into custody.

Once handcuffed, he again became agitated and attempted to force his way out of the patrol car.

Cameron was transported to Martin Memorial Hospital where he is under evaluation.

He is charged with disorderly conduct, assault, and trespassing.
