One person is hospitalized following a shooting in Vero Beach Thursday afternoon, according to the Indian River County Sheriff's Office.
The incident happened at approximately 4 p.m. in the 4700 block of Kennedy Court.
Officials say the 33-year-old victim is believed to have been shot one time and was conscious and talking when deputies arrived on scene.
The victim, which identity has not been released, was transported to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center for treatment.
A person of interest is being sought by investigators.
