Victims of the downtown West Palm Beach wall collapse are still waiting for a judge's ruling that was expected by noon on Tuesday.

In April, the William W. Price Law Offices filed suit against Ram Realty, the owners of the Alexander Lofts. The complaint demands that Ram support the damaged roof of the law office and remove tons of bricks still on the building following the wall collapse on March 3.

The law office has been condemned by the city's building inspector until the work is done which is why attorney William Price says he filed suit.

"These are my client files. I have been ordered not to enter. I can't even get my client files and they are just a few feet away. I've told Ram to get the weight of the bricks off the roof and they refused to do so. I said 'they're your bricks, they came off your building, they are your responsibility'," Price said Tuesday afternoon.

Price opened the two front doors to of his condemned office to show NewsChannel 5 the state of the damage.

"That main beam right there is the center beam holding up the whole building and you can see how it's collapsed down," Price said as he leaned into the front door of his building to get a better view.

"20 to 30,000 pounds of bricks for two months have (bowed) the roof, the trusses are now giving way and it's all collapsing," Price said.

It has also left his building exposed to the elements for the last two months.

"You can see where it's cracked. That whole section, that's from the water that's running down," Price said as he pointed to a hole in the ceiling.

If the judge rules in favor of the Price law offices, Ram Realty will have 7 days to shore up the roof, then two weeks to remove the remaining bricks. NewsChannel 5 contacted Ram Realty for comment. A rep said he will comment on the suit as soon as the judge issues the final order.
