Ahead of Tuesday’s start to the legislative session, Palm Beach County lawmakers have prepared their own list of priorities.

Among the things they’d like to see is the expansion of slots at the Palm Beach Kennel Club, restoring tax credits to the film industry, more funding for mental health and doing more to combat homelessness.

The list of issues voted on by the county commission is used to guide the county in their lobbying efforts.

Wednesday is Palm Beach County Day in Tallahassee. Meetings are planned with Gov. Scott, members of the Florida Cabinet and individual legislators to persuade lawmakers to approve the proposed goals.
