Plane of presidential candidate, Donald Trump, was diverted to Nashville International Airport after reporting engine problems.

The Trump Boeing B757 landed at Nashville International Airport around 4 p.m. A statement from officials with the Federal Aviation Administration said they would be investigating.

The plane was on its way to Little Rock, Arkansas for a rally when the starboard engine experienced a mechanical issue 50 miles outside of Nashville.

A source close to our Scripps affiliate NewsChannel 5 said the pilots reported an Alert 2 situation, which constitutes a potentially serious problem. Sources said one of the engines was sticking in neutral.

Trump was on the plane, and boarded another one shortly after landing. Trump's plane remained at Nashville International Airport after the mechanical issues.
