Across Nebraska support and prayers have poured out for the family whose son was killed Tuesday night by an alligator at Disney World.

Neighbors of the family told KMTV-TV the family went on vacation last Thursday, having stopped in Georgia before heading to Disney World.

The couple has two children, the 2-year-boy who was killed and a 4-year-old daughter.

Authorities said the family was near the water at the Disney hotel when the alligator dragged the boy into the water.

People in the Nebraska town of Elkhorn were in total disbelief Wednesday.

"The St. Patrick's Parish and school community is just flat out devastated," said Norman Hale, principal of St. Patrick's Parish Catholic School.

Neighbors told KMTV that this is a family they know. They say the kids all play together.

The body of 2-year-old Lane Graves was recovered Wednesday afternoon.
