SAN DIEGO - A La Jolla, California man who became famous for using his millions to help others is opening up his checkbook again.

Several years ago Marc Paskin was featured on ABC's Secret Millionaire. Since then, he's donated millions of dollars to other causes like stroke research.

Now he wants to help migrant children separated from their parents at the border.

"I think it's bad and wrong," said Paskin. "The mistake has been made and the focus should be getting these kids with their parents as quick as possible."

Paskin was inspired by a recent New York Times article documenting the high costs sponsors must pay to transport children.

He's committing $500,000 to help children reunite with parents or family members.

To request financial assistance, email your case to Paskin's team at:

While they want to help families as quickly as possible, Paskin's team will be vetting all requests to ensure they're legitimate.
