(NBC NEWSCHANNEL) New video shows the moments when a group of people knocked over an iconic rock formation on an Oregon beach.

Cellphone video shows the group of visitors pushing the structure known as the ‘Duckbill' until it crumbled to the ground on August 29th at Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area.

Park officials originally said they didn't think the break was caused by humans and that the sandstone pedestal had fallen over due to age or weather elements.

The formation was roughly 7 to 10 feet across and sat behind a fenced area on the outer edge of the sandstone bluff.

Park officials say the sandstone bluff is considered very dangerous and has been the site of six deaths in the past two years.

Park officials say the incident remains under review and criminal charges are being considered.
