Chemradery, a popular local rock band, is playing at SunFest this year on the main Ford stage on Thursday night. Last year the band competed in a contest to earn a slot but didn't make it. This year SunFest organizers invited them via e-mail to kick off the musical acts on Thursday night.

"We were excited they showed interest in this year. They've been really great to work with," said Melissa Sullivan, marketing manager for SunFest.

Chemradery has even gained airplay on West Palm Beach radio station 97.9 WRMF and performed at their "No Snow Ball" with Adam Lambert and Third Eye Blind. Last weekend they played at the Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale and opened for the band Fuel.

The lead vocalist is Gregory Scot Dyer and his buddy is Ivan Alexander. They merged their musical passions together and had an instant chemistry and comradery and BAM= that's how Chemradery got its name.
