Lawrence Flood Jr., Nicholas Monaco, John Cilluffo arrested in taxi driver stabbing

The Martin County Sheriff's Office arrested the last of three suspects in the Jensen Beach taxi driver robbery and stabbing Friday.

22- Year-old Lawrence Flood Jr. was arrested in Orlando, FL at Disney World before boarding a monorail train, according to the Sheriff's office.

Officials say Flood is the suspected stabber in this case, facing 1st degree attempted murder charges. He is being held on a $1 million bond.

Two others were also arrested earlier this week. 21-year- old Nicholas Monaco of Ft. Pierce and 25- year- old John Cilluffo of Jensen Beach face charges of aggravated battery and armed robbery.

All three men have cextensive criminal histories.  Sgt. Mike Dougherty says two of the three were recently released from jail on other charges.

Officials say this is one of the worst brutalities they've seen in Martin County. "We've had can drivers robbed before. I've been here 20 years and can't recall one that was beaten this badly just for the purpose of getting some money," saud Sgt. Mike Dougherty.

On Thursday, May 17th, 49-year-old Timothy Bowker was stabbed and robbed. He is a well known taxi driver in the Treasure Coast.

Authorities say Bowker was stabbed more than ten times in his cab, and tried to drive away.

Deputies found him bleeding "profusely" at the Cumberland Farms convenience store.

Family of Bowker says he served in Desert Storm as a tank driver. He also received numerous awards for his service.

Bowker was in stable condition earlier in the week. Officials with the sheriff's office say his conditioned worsened to critical on Friday.
