Florida State University Police Department is investigating a death outside the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house on College Avenue.

On Wednesday around 6:45 a.m., FSU PD was called to a suspicious death in the 400 Block of West College Avenue after receiving a report of a deceased white man lying on the ground outside the building.

Police say a City of Tallahassee worker discovered the body on the west side of the house while checking meters in the area.

The victim was pronounced deceased on scene by Leon County EMS.

The male victim has been identified as a 21-year-old former FSU student who was last enrolled in 2018. Police say next of kin have been notified.

FSU PD tells ABC 27 that they are not investigating the incident as a hazing incident.

They also do not suspect foul play at this time, though an investigation is ongoing.
