Port St. Lucie man stabbed in side, roommate arrested

PORT ST. LUCIE — One man was stabbed and was being flown to a local trauma center Friday morning after an incident in southeast Port St. Lucie, according to St. Lucie County Fire District and Port St. Lucie police officials.

Fire district crews were called at 8:21 a.m. Friday to the incident in the 1700 block of Southeast Elrose Street, Fire District spokeswoman Catherine Chaney said.

Two roommates were arguing over something and one stabbed the other in the side, said Master Sgt. Frank Sabol, police spokesman. Sabol said the man's injuries did not immediately appear life-threatening.

Sabol said the accused stabber has been arrested, but the charges weren't immediately clear.
