PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - Port St. Lucie Police arrested Lareese Darville after they say she charged nearly 50,000 dollars on her company credit card to pay for her wedding at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood.
"It was an expensive wedding, but it was worth every penny of it. I wouldn't change a thing," Darville said after she was released from jail.
Police say she used the business credit card from Partners III Pawn to pay for photographers, wedding planners, and the ballroom at the hotel.
Her father owns the Pawn Shop along with two other partners.
The father did not want to comment on Wednesday, but one of the other owners, Keith Angelotti, told WPTV that he only noticed the card was being used when the bank called, because the bill wasn't being paid.
Police say Darville knew exactly what she was doing.
"When she ran out of money on the credit cards, she even had the companies bump up the limits and continue to finance what she wanted for the ultimate wedding," Sgt. Frank Sabol said.
Darville says she worked at the Pawn Shop her entire life and had permission from her father to use the card.
"It was a fabulous wedding and I have no regrets," Darville said.
She says she started paying off the debt.
She is facing fraud and grand theft charges and was released from jail on bond.
