Keith Lewis Roberts: Victim of July 21st St. Lucie County shooting spree dies on Friday

FORT PIERCE — A victim of last Sunday's Fort Pierce shooting spree has died, according to the Fort Pierce Police Department.

Keith Lewis Roberts, 59, of Fort Pierce, died Friday at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute, Sgt. David Cuti, police spokesman, said Saturday night.

Roberts' death brings the death toll to four with one person injured.

Adam Peavy, 22, armed with a semi-automatic weapon while driving his father's black pickup, shot Roberts about 10 a.m. July 21. Roberts was standing near his mailbox in front of his home in the 800 block of Boston Avenue, investigators said.

Earlier that day, Adam Peavy shot and killed his father Roy Peavy, a longtime Fort Pierce resident, inside his home in the 3300 block of Avenue N. The elder Peavy's body was not be discovered until Sunday evening.

Meanwhile, a half an hour after shooting Roberts, Adam Peavy drove through North 39th Street near Avenue F, where Shane Patrick Streeter, 27, and Justin Rivera, 22, were walking, investigators said.

After beckoning the two men to come to the truck, Adam Peavy began firing.

Streeter was the first hit and died at the scene. Rivera fled after the first shot, but Adam Peavy stepped out of the car and continued firing. Rivera was taken to a hospital and his condition was unknown Saturday.

About 7:15 p.m. July 21 Adam Peavy shot himself in front of a vacant home in the 1400 block of North 45th Street, Fort Pierce, investigators said.

A motive for the shooting spree is unknown.
