Teen arrested in Sunday shooting incident in Fort Pierce

FORT PIERCE — Police have arrested a suspect in a shooting Sunday in which a man was wounded in the back, according to a Fort Pierce Police Department news release.

Police responded to the 3100 block of Avenue E after reports of gunfire were called in about 2:40 p.m. Sunday, said Sgt. Melissa Jaques, Fort Pierce police spokeswoman.

A 19-year-old Fort Pierce man was shot at least once in the back, but the wound was not life-threatening, the release states. He was treated and released at a local hospital.

Police arrested a 19 old year old Jean Robert Lagrandeur in the incident, the release states.
