It's been a frustrating Friday for people living in the Meadows apartment complex.
Several cars stalled when water rose in what's being called a 100 year rain event for the area south of Hypoluxo Road off Congress Avenue.
Garrett Meanney couldn't get to work this morning. So he and his girlfriend spent the day inspecting the neighborhood.
He says the last time he saw this much flooding, it was during a hurricane. "My mom's car is flooded. It's flooded up to the seats. And her car stalled out… it's stuck in the middle of the road. It's not going anywhere any time soon."
According to Boynton Beach Utilities, the Lake Worth Drainage District has opened canals which should make the water recede.
