Four teens accused of burglarizing a Boynton Beach home while residents slept

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Boynton Beach police arrested four teens who burglarized a Boynton Beach home while the residents were sleeping early Sunday, according to an arrest affidavit released by Boynton Beach police.

A  Boynton Beach police officer saw the teens walking south along Valley Road in Boynton Beach at approximately 2:15 a.m., according to the arrest affidavit.

According to Officer Ron Ryan, the teens took off running when the police officer told them to stop. Police quickly caught up to the teens.

The teens were in possession of burglary tools and a laptop they had stolen from a residence on the 300 block of A County Lane, according to arrest report.

A witness told police he observed two of the teens go inside an unlocked home and take a laptop.

Officer Ryan was providing extra patrols in the community due to a recent rash of burglaries that had taken place in the neighborhood.

The four teens were arrested and are charged with burglary to an occupied dwelling and one of the four teens also faces a charge of possession of burglary tools.
