Boca West fire damages residence

SUBURBAN BOCA RATON, Fla. - A handful of units were damaged by smoke and fire in Boca West Monday.

Firefighters were called to 19389 Waters Reach Trail just before noon and discovered two roofs filled with flames.

They began fighting the fire from the inside but were forced to pull back when the flames raced above them, according to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue

One person was home at the time and escaped without injury.

Investigators say 4-to-6 units in the complex were damaged.

Smoke could easily be seen from nearby Yamato Road.

A cause has not yet been determined.
