Amanda Matos, 17: Boca Raton girl reported missing from her home on Friday night has been found

BOCA RATON, Fla. - UPDATE: Amanda Matos has been located according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.


A 17-year-old Boca Raton girl has been reported missing, authorities are seeking assistance from the public to find her.

Amanda Matos left her home  in the 9900 block of Three Lakes Circle around 7:30 p.m. on Friday night, said the Palm Beach County Sherriff's Office. 

Matos' family has not seen or hear from her since she left the home.

Matos has threatened to harm herself and she is considered to be a missing and endangered teen, said Teri Barbera, spokeswoman for the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

Matos is described as being 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. She has blonde hair and brown eyes. She also has a tattoo of the name "Sandra" on the middle of her back, Barbera said.

A description of her clothing is not available at this time.

Anyone who comes into contact with Matos is asked to call the sheriff's office at 561-688-3400 or the nearest law enforcement agency.
