Seacoast Utility Authority: Palm Beach Gardens neighborhood boil-water notice has been lifted

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. - UPDATE: The precautionary boil water advisory that was issued Friday, January 31 has been withdrawn following the repair of the main line and the satisfactory completion of the bacteriological survey confirming that the water is safe to drink.

Seacoast Utility Authority has issued a boil-water notice to residents of a Palm Beach Gardens neighborhood off Burns Road and Sandalwood Circle.

The order was issued after a water-main line break temporarily interrupted service on Friday, according to the utility.

Water service was interrupted at 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th Court, and from 702-716 7th Court to 1009-1020 10th Court.

Water should be brought to a rolling boil for one minute before using for drinking, cooking or brushing teeth. Ice makers should be turned off until the precautionary boil-water advisory is lifted and the first load of ice thrown out. Water used to wash dishes, to laundry or to bathe does not need to be boiled, according to the utility.

The advisory will remain in effect until further notice.

To listen to the boil-water message call 561-656-2244.
