Jupiter home catches fire

JUPITER, Fla. - Emergency crews are on the scene of a house fire in Jupiter Farms on Friday morning, said Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

At 6:20 a.m. crews responded to reports of a structure fire in the 12000 block of 189th Ct. North in Jupiter Farms. A caller stated that there were flames and smoke inside the home, and they were evacuating.

Firefighters said when they arrived there was heavy smoke showing from the home and were advised by residents that two dogs were still inside.

Fire crews quickly entered the home and started searching for the family pets while aggressively fighting the fire, which they located in the kitchen.

Crews rescued the dogs and the fire was under control by 6:50 a.m.

There are no reports of injuries.
