Robert David Steele arrested in second meth bust on Ranchwood Street

PALM CITY, Fla. -- Detectives with the Martin County Sheriff's Office along with the DEA Clandestine Lab Team arrested a Palm City man Thursday afternoon for manufacturing Methamphetamine in a home he rents.

Officials arrested 35-year-old Robert David Steele, who they say admitted to making methamphetamine in the house. They also found equipment used to cook meth.

This is the second bust along Ranchwood Street in Palm City since 2012. The Martin County Sheriff's Office says the prior Methamphetamine lab was shut down only a few doors down.

Neighbors along the street say they're thankful detectives are focusing their efforts on the street to make it safer, and prevent a possible explosion.

"Most of us on the block were kind of concerned about it. We all have children and we're worried about the drug problem in the area," one neighbor said who wanted to remain anonymous.

Steele was booked into the Martin County jail on a $50,500 bond.
