Two armed robbery suspects were arrested after crash in West Palm Beach

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Two men are behind bars Monday morning in connection with two armed robberies in Palm Beach County.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, Bobby Gatlin, 20, of West Palm Beach and 20-year-old Armony Pierre, Jr., of Palm Springs held up a man walking along Forest Hill Blvd near Sherwood Forest Drive at 1:40am.

Investigators says that the two suspects then drove to Flashdance on Purdy Lane where they attempted to rob a woman but left when the victim started screaming.
The pair, according to their arrest report, went to the  Cumberland Farms Gas Station at Forest Hill Blvd and Kirk Rd. While getting gas they spotted a Palm Springs police car and they fled the area.

The sheriff's office says they were driving a 2011 Beige Kia minivan which had been stolen in Port St. Lucie.

They crashed on the on-ramp to the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 at Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard, after a police pursuit.

Investigators say they tried to flee but they didn't get very far before being caught.
