Will there be delays at PBIA?
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - At least a dozen flights from Palm Beach International Airport on Tuesday were delayed because of storms in the north.
Most of the flights were delayed less than an hour, but several were delayed more than that.
Some people even chose to go home and reschedule their flights until Wednesday because of the delays.
"It is the smart thing to do. I would rather sleep in my own bed than in a chair in the airport," Audra Scott said.
Scott is traveling with her daughter to see family in Tennessee.
"The flight kept getting pushed back and delayed," Scott said.
According to PBIA, travel is up over eleven percent in the total number of flights this holiday week compared to last year.
PBIA anticipates more than 122,000 passengers will travel in and out of the airport during the week.
There is no indication how many delays will take place over the next 24 hours.
