Car plunges into West Palm Beach canal

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Police say around 2:15 Wednesday morning a person drove their car into a canal off Shenandoah Drive near Chagall Circle in West Palm Beach.

Investigators say the female driver got out of the vehicle. There is no word on whether she has any injuries.

Police haven't said why they think the driver put the car into the water. Skid marks lead up to the canal from the side of the road.

Dive crews investigated around the vehicle as a tow truck got into position to pull the vehicle from the water around 5 a.m.

Shenandoah Drive near Chagall Circle was closed as the scene was being cleared.
