4 men arrested after high-speed chase from Fort Lauderdale to West Palm Beach

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Police arrested four men in a West Palm Beach neighborhood after a high-speed chase overnight that started in Ft. Lauderdale.

Fort Lauderdale police asked the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office for assistance when the pursuit entered Palm Beach County.

Investigators said the group ditched its stolen car near Merrill Avenue and Southern Boulevard and ran into a nearby neighborhood.

The sheriff's office used its aviation unit and K-9s to track down the men.

They were transported to Wellington Regional Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, the sheriff's office said.
Police said the men robbed a store on Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale and tried to get away which prompted the chase.

Authorities have not released the identities of the people arrested.

The sheriff's office said the vehicle was stolen out of Palm Beach Gardens and has been turned over to the Fort Lauderdale Police Department for processing.
