Nonhazardous white substance evacuates homes on Uranus Terrace in Palm Beach Gardens

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. - A white substance that evacuated a Palm Beach Gardens neighborhood Tuesday morning has been deemed not hazardous, according to officials with the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

A Palm Beach County deputy came across the material around 9:15 a.m. outside a home on Uranus Terrace south of Constellation Boulevard.  Two families were evacuated from their homes.

The neighborhood is located just west of Lake Park. 

During the investigation, officials had to block traffic to Constellation Boulevard and Burma Road and also Constellation Boulevard to Crater Terrace.

The substance was turned over to the sheriff's office for further analysis.

No one was hurt.
