Postal carrier assaulted in Riviera Beach

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. - A postal carrier was assaulted on West 35th Street in Riviera Beach Thursday, a police spokeswoman said.

Two men approached the postal worker who was sitting in his vehicle.

She says they demanded his personal belongings including his wallet. When he refused, she says they hit him with a gun then fled.

He was not seriously hurt.

Officers set up a perimeter in the area but so far have not found them.
