Lockdown lifted at 3 Riviera Beach schools; man in custody

Name of suspected robber not released

RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. - Three schools in Riviera Beach are no longer on lockdown after an armed robbery Wednesday at a Riviera Beach KFC, according to police spokeswoman Rose Anne Brown.

The incident occurred at a restaurant located at Avenue S and Blue Heron Road at 11:26 a.m., according to Riviera Beach police.

Suncoast High School, JFK Middle and Mary McLeod Bethune Elementary School were locked down for about two hours as police canvassed the area.

Investigators said they took a person into custody but have not released their name.
