PALM BEACH, Fla. - Eleven undocumented migrants are in custody Tuesday morning after coming ashore on the north end of Palm Beach.
One is from China, the others are from Haiti or the Dominican Republic.
They came from the Bahamas, according to the U.S. Border Patrol, and the person suspected of transporting them, a Bahamian national, is in custody.
Palm Beach police said just after 7 a.m. they received a report that a 17-foot boat landed on the beach near 400 N County Road.
Police fanned out and eventually rounded up the group.
