Blossom Adams: Woman wants to warn horse sellers after posting a Craigslist ad

LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. - Craigslist has become a popular way to sell horses, but now horse lovers in Loxahatchee are nervous to use the site after a horse was found slaughtered on Monday.

Blossom Adams listed her three horses on the site and says she soon received a strange call.

"The man told me he really didn't care what the horses could do. He said he just wants to buy them for 400 dollars. I told him that was impossible. He said he wasn't looking to bond with the horse," Blossom Adams said.

Blossom says she became so concerned after hearing about the butchered horse she has considered sleeping at her barn and installing security cameras.

She warns people to screen people before selling them horses on Craigslist.

"Have the come out, meet them in person, and feel them out. You have to ask them a lot of questions," Adams said.

According to the director at Animal Care and Control, they have received some tips about the slaughtered horse, but nothing concrete. If you have any information, call CrimeStoppers.
