Tod Lehner charged with leaving the scene of an accident

Sheriff's Office says he hit a bus

LAKE WORTH, Fla. - Four children and two adults on a bus suffered minor injuries Wednesday afternoon following  a hit and run accident in the 1900 block of North Dixie Highway in Lake Worth.

All six were taken to JFK Hospital in Atlantis, according to investigators from the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

PBSO says that the bus was struck by a 2010 Dodge Charger. Deputies say that they located the car five blocks north of the accident on Dixie Highway.

The driver, identified as Tod Lehner from Cape Coral, was located walking away from the car, according to investigators.

Deputies say Lehner had a strong smell of alcohol and slurred speech.

A person who saw the accident was able to identify Lehner to deputies. The witness said that Lehner had turned his shirt inside out to hide the words TOP GUN on the back.

Lehner was arrested by PBSO and charged with DUI and leaving the scene of a crash with injuries.
