PBSO: Man on the run from police runs into Lake Worth home, surrenders to police, one man is dead

Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office were searching for a suspect in Lake Worth this morning after he ran into a home in the area of Lincoln Circle West and Edgecliff Avenue.

PBSO Public Information Officer Teri Barbera confirmed that the man exited the home without incident.

There were three people inside the home at the time the suspect entered.

One person exited the home and spoke with PBSO and said they didn't see any weapons and that the man hasn't tried to harm any of the occupants of the home.

Barbera confirmed that the incident began when three individuals planned on robbing an abandoned house.

After the suspects got word that PBSO was on their way, one of the three suspects shot one of the other suspects, killing him.

When police arrived, one suspect decided to flee and ran into the backdoor of a home on Lincoln Circle and EdgeCliff Avenue in Lake Worth.

Another suspect surrendered without incident.

People were not allowed in or out of the neighborhood on Edgecliff Avenue in Lake Worth during the incident, but has since been reopened.

The Sheriff's office SWAT team responded to the scene.
