Longtime character actor Christopher McDonald was arrested Saturday and charged with driving under the influence according to multiple reports.
McDonald was reportedly involved in a single car crash on Saturday evening after he veered off the road and into a gas meter. The San Bernardino Sheriff's Office confirmed to People that McDonald was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
According to TMZ , McDonald reportedly told police that he played Shooter McGavin in the 1996 comedy "Happy Gilmore" while being taken into custody.

McDonald, who has also appeared in "Requiem for a Dream," "Thelma & Louise" and CBS' "The Good Wife," was charged with DWI in 2013 when he was arrested by police in Wilmington, North Carolina.
