National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, 'Got Drugs?', dispose of unused or unwanted medicine

Saturday, April 27 is National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.  The purpose is to help prevent potential abuse of medications.

From 10a.m. to 2p.m., you can dispose of unused and unwanted prescription medications safely at participating area businesses.

The Drug Enforcement Administration has collected more than 2 million pounds of prescription medications from circulation during previous events.

The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposal, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of these medications.
