Miami rains leave dozens of cars disabled

MIAMI, Fla - North Miami Beach was soaked with nearly fifteen inches of rain Friday, according to the National Weather Service. Other nearby areas received more than six inches of rain.

Many cities reported flooded roads.  Some families had to be relocated from homes because of flooding in neighborhoods.  Drivers were asked to stay home until conditions improved.

According to NBC 6 in Miami, sandbags were handed out to residents in some areas.  Dozens of cars were disabled in the canal-like roadways.  Tow trucks were busy through the night pulling vehicles out of massive puddles.
