AAA predict thousands will hit the highway for the Memorial holiday travel weekend

Gas prices will remain stable

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. - AAA is expected to release its annual Memorial Day travel forecast this morning.

According to AAA, motorists in the southeast will see little change in gas prices through the holiday weekend.
Floridians are paying an average of $3.46 a gallon for gas.  That's cheaper than the national average, which is currently at $3.65 a gallon.
This year's report will highlight how many travelers are expected on the road this year. It's expected to be several thousand less than in previous years.
AAA will break down how many travelers are expected to go by car, train or plane.
According to AAA's fuel gauge report, gas prices have climbed in the last 15 days. They predict that this weekend's prices are the highest since 2011 for a Memorial Day holiday.
