Firefighters battled wildfires in two counties Tuesday.
The Florida Forest Service reported a 120 acre wildfire off of Bluefield & Germany Canal Rd., in western St. Lucie County.
The Forest Service & St. Lucie County Fire District were dispatched to the scene. It is not threatening any structures at this time. As of 6:25 it was 80% contained.
A bulldozer is encircling a second wildfire covering 273 acres in Okeechobee County. It is 95% contained. The heavy equipment is removing all the vegetation down to the soil.
According to the Forest Service, it is off Hwy 98 N before Dixie Ranch Acres at the south entrance of Flying G Ranch. It is not threatening any structures.
The Okeechobee County Fire District is fighting the blaze along with the Forest Service.
