NOAA releases its 2014 Atlantic hurricane season outlook

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is predicting an, at or below average Atlantic hurricane season.

It calls for 8-to-13 named storms. 3-to-6 hurricanes and 1-to-2 as major hurricanes.

A strengthening El Nino will likely create wind shear that will cut down on the number of storms that develop in the Atlantic, and average sea surface temperatures may also help limit the number of storms.

With that said... we remind everyone that it only takes one storm to make for a bad season, so please prepare accordingly.
